ABOUT DENIABLE PRODUCTIONS
With a combined experience garnered across numerous award winning shorts, web series, and micro to low budget features, Deniable Productions was established in 2019 by British director/writer duo Simon Pearce and Chris Marshfield. The company was set up to produce feature length genre films for the international market – specifically action/thriller titles.
“Action is a genre we’ve been hugely passionate about since we were both young, and is one that we feel is currently under-served in the UK.
Our aim is produce a series of prestige action thrillers, that can confidently compete with their international counterparts,
whilst remaining distinctly British in their style and tone.”

Deniable’s first film, the award winning action short “Officer Down”, was produced to launch the company and released to film festivals in 2020. It has gone on to receive acclaim from renowned festivals around the world, such as Aesthetica, Hollyshorts, Newport Beach and the British Urban Film Festival. It has netted multiple awards for both Best Film and Best Director.
“Officer Down” stars Martin Delaney (Catch-22), Ben Turner (300: Rise of an Empire) and Josef Altin (Top Boy, Game of Thrones). The film was shot by BAFTA nominated cinematographer Phil Méheux BSC (Casino Royale).
Simon and Chris are currently in development on their first features under the label.
